Parippu Vada

   Parippu vada is a very tasty and simple tea time snack in South India . Try this... I am sure everyone would like this recipe. Serve crisp parippu vada with tea.
  1. Channa Dal ( kadala parippu )– 1cup
  2. Chopped   Onion– ½ cup
  3. Chopped Green chilli – 4 
  4. Ginger – a small piece
  5. Curry leaves – few

Fresh Grapes Juice


    Grape juice has a lot of health benefits and one of them is it helps with digestion. A glass of grape juice can be delicious and refreshing! You can skip sugar if you like it natural but I like it a little sweet. Also, remember to use ripe grapes. 
  1. Fresh black grapes – ½ kg 
  2. Sugar – according to your taste 
  3. Water – 1 ½ cup 
  4. Ice cubes- few 
  5. Chopped grapes – 4 tsp 
Wash grapes and remove seeds and skins.
Add sugar and grapes to jar.
Serve garnished with chopped grapes and ice cubes.

Gobi Manchurian Dry

Ingredients:-
Cauliflower –1 small size
  • For Batter:
  1. Maida – 5 tbsp
  2. Cornstarch – 4tbsp
  3. Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
  4. Soya sauce – ½ tsp
  5. Salt to taste

Watermelon Mango Smoothie

Ingredients:
  1. Watermelon – 2 glasses
  2. Mango – 1 glass
  3. Vanilla ice cream – 1 glass
  4. Sugar- to taste
  5. Ice cubes
In a blender, beat watermelon, mango, vanilla ice cream and sugar till all the ingredients blend well. Serve smoothie with ice cubes.

Cool & Fresh Lemon Soda


A perfect thing to have in the middle of a hot summer! This recipe’s sugar measurement is just perfect to cater to my sweet tooth. So, if you don’t like your drink too sweet, do remember to adjust the sugar level or add a little bit of more salt. Sugar + a bit of salt in the drink gives it an energizing feeling. I hope everyone will like this recipe. Enjoy ;)

Tomato Rice (Thakkali Sadam)



  1. Basmathi rice (or any raw rice) – 1 cup
  2. Tomato- 3(medium red tomato, 2 puree and 1 chopped)
  3. Onion - 1
  4. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  5. Chana dal & urad dal – 1 tsp each

Tamarind Rice (Puli Sadam)

Ingredients:
  1. Tamarind – lemon size
  2. Sesame oil – 3 tbsp
  3. Dried red chillies – 10 no
  4. Bengal gram (channa dal) – 2 -3 tbsp
  5. Urad dal – 1 tbsp

Ivy Gourd (kovakka) upperi


I like kovakka very much, to the extent that I can even eat raw kovakka! This is a simple and tasty recipe. If you like my recipe, do try it out and give your comments/suggestions for improvements on the same. Enjoy :)
