I like kovakka very much, to the extent that I can even eat raw kovakka! This is a simple and tasty recipe. If you like my recipe, do try it out and give your comments/suggestions for improvements on the same. Enjoy :)
Ingredients:
- Kovakka – 20 - 25 nos
- Chopped Onion (big) – 1
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp (according to your taste)
- Curry leaves- few
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbs
- Clean and cut the kovakka in to round shape.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, allow it to splutter.
- Add curry leaves and chopped onion to it and sauté it till onion turns soft.
- Add the cut kovakka, sauté a bit and then add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Sauté well.
- Add little water. Then cover with a lid and cook on low flame for 15 – 20 mins.
