Ingredients:
- Tamarind – lemon size
- Sesame oil – 3 tbsp
- Dried red chillies – 10 no
- Bengal gram (channa dal) – 2 -3 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Fenugreek – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder - ¼ tsp
- Hing – a pinch
- Curry leaves few
- Salt to taste
- Water- ½ cup
- Cooked rice – As per your need
- Soak the tamarind in hot water & take the extract from it.
- Heat oil in a pan; add mustard seeds, fenugreek seed, urad dal, channa dal, dried red chillis, curry leaves and just fry.
- Then add tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing, salt and water. Cook tills all the water evaporates and the mixture thickens.
- Then mix with cooked rice as per requirement. Serve hot and enjoy :)
